World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stats and provide extra benefits, based on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for casting builds.
Armour
Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link safe from harm in most situations. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can still improve its defence capabilities in different ways.
The principle of armour is to safeguard a person or animal from harm or injury whether from physical assault or from various environmental and activity hazards. Historically, the majority of armour was made of leather or fabric, but metal protections were also used in military applications, particularly like heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are many ways to upgrade armour however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own degree of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection and requiring a higher cost in rupees and materials to unlock.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been applied they are not able to be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. You should only apply the most advanced upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the materials required to complete them.
You will find the upgrades you need in many places around Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. They are usually marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle, and are available in large quantities as you progress through the game. While they may appear randomly, there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrade components will result in quests that reward players with more.
It's also worth noting that even though the amount of protection offered by each upgrade varies but it's the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will give you a significant defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks, excluding magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.
Weapons
If you're looking to make your guns truly distinctive, you can upgrade them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. They can boost damage, change the weapon's stats to cater to your particular build, and even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments and more aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and most weapons only accept one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components are available scattered throughout the world, from enemies or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of components that can be incorporated into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They require that the equipment be of a certain degree to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
Upgrades are a combination of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to improve the effectiveness of weapons and improve their ability to scale with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon and an upgrade.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade those that you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're playing a melee build, for instance upgrade your weapon, then your shoulders and chest followed by your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on the style you play, certain items will be more beneficial than others. Similar is the case for Armour, with some reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one item of magic. If an upgrade plan has been canceled, no further upgrades will be offered for that item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, however they may have other benefits.
A magical item is any item that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some are also shields, armor, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other items. Some of these items may be converted into a sentient.
Most magic items can be enhanced in their abilities. This could make them more beneficial to a player or help them overcome a difficult encounter. A weapon that is infused can provide bonuses to damage against a particular enemy type, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached the level that they're likely to encounter a particular type of monster repeatedly in the dungeons.
A ring that is infused with magic may give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or cut (excluding attacks that are silvered) until the character takes another long rest. This is particularly useful for melee fighters or any person who wishes to avoid buying a shield.
Some enchanted items have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's list of spells. This is a great benefit for characters that have trouble keeping their spell slots full because of multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling a table determined by the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other items that can be enchanted may let the user change their appearance, or even create an entirely new one. These are particularly beneficial for those who have had to leave their homes, or are in a place where they might not be welcomed. An item that is magical can grant them an invisibility effect, or make them invisible to all but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that do not fall under the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons, and provide various capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor, no one utility item is able to be in conflict with another. The majority of utility items come with a passive effect that the player can activate when using them. However, some have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button, or by activating an ability.
The most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to hover in mid-air when moving, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in all directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can quickly create a variety of utilitarian items, whereas others are unlocked by Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items available in their regular inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded to make them more effective.
Most utility items provide the player with a navigational advantage or increase a specific combat ability. Sharpening stones, made by an Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, created by an Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items of utility can be utilized by players to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
item upgrades can equip a single utility item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available after the completion of certain research, engineering, or experiments on the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher which lets the player equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade is placed in the main grenade slot.
